He started practicing yoga in Caracas, Venezuela in 1999. Until 2008 he had the opportunity to study Vinyasa Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and Iyengar Yoga under the guidance of different yoga instructors.



Cristi Christensen is shaking the world of yoga by integrating yoga and dance with live house DJ music during her invigorating “Deep Exhale“ events.



Heiress of the lineage of Larry Shultz, Ana Forrest and Sri Dharma Mittra, her goal is to guide others so that they can also experience the many amazing benefits of yoga on the body, mind and soul.



Alvise started practicing yoga in 2007. During his first years of practice, he was able to practice with international teachers, particularly interested in ‘Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and the practice of Dharma Yoga. With Andrei Ram he began his journey in Hatha Raja Yoga, developing a deep interest in his spiritual and cultural roots.



Devoted disciple of Sri Dharma Mittra, Fabio learns directly from his spiritual guide, practicing daily and sharing Hatha Yoga classes and workshops. Fabio’s curiosity drove him to travel extensively to remote regions of the world, to find inspiration from people and cultures,

With a multidisciplinary training, he has understood the need to learn different disciplines and styles of yoga to be able to adapt yoga to the diverse needs of his students.



Devoted practitioner and teacher of Hatha Raja and Kriya Yoga, dedicates her life completely to spiritual practices and to transmit the knowledge of healing through Yoga and Meditation.



Vladimir started yoga in his teens and draws from his 20 plus years of practice in the Iyengar yoga method and yoga based therapy and is known for his effective demonstrations and a way of delivering essential bites of information in a friendly and accessible way.



Sandra teaches the primary, intermediate and opening part of the third series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. She has been practicing yoga since 2001, studying Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga with John Scott since 2002 and teaching since 2007.

Dharma Yoga

Dharma Yoga es un estilo fluido, y a su vez demandante, creado por la escuela de Sri Dharma Mittra, que está basado en la práctica del yoga tradicional de este maestro de más de 50 años y que sigue compartiendo actualmente en su centro en Nueva York.

Los fundamentos de esta práctica son los Yamas y Niyamas, sobre todo Ahimsa (compasión hacia todos los seres, evitar crear violencia ni física, ni verbal ni mental), como raíz de todo lo demás, y su sentido es altamente devocional (devoción a eso que es supremo en nosotros mismos).

Se promueve una práctica meditativa y espiritual, incluso y sobre todo en la práctica de asanas, porque se abordan como una ofrenda. Sri Dharma Mitrra resalta siempre el propósito último del yoga como objetivo de su práctica: la autorrealización suprema del Ser o el autoconocimiento supremo. Como dice el sitio web de Dharma Yoga Center, el Dharma Yoga incorpora “las nueve formas del yoga, incluyendo Hatha, Raja, Karma, Kriya, Bhakti, Japa, Laya y Jnana”, aunque en esencia es una práctica de Hatha Raja clásico. “Una práctica devocional que se enfoca en la buena salud, la mente clara y un corazón amable”.

Dharma Yoga permite al alumno progresar a través de cuatro secuencias de movimientos que se enlazan los unos con los otros. Consta además de un grado de libertad muy elevado por parte del profesor, quien acaba configurando la práctica en base a la energía colectiva que se va respirando a cada momento en la sala.

Sri Dharma Mittra habla siempre de las seis posturas madre del yoga, que constituyen los fundamentos sobre los cuales se basa la práctica equilibrada del Hatha Yoga, asanas que encontrarás con diferentes variantes en todas las clases de Dharma: Padmasana, Paschimotanasana, Bhujangasana, Sirsasana, Sarvangasana y Ardha Matsyendrasana.

Una práctica de Dharma Yoga también se suele identificar por la secuencia de inicio Shiva Namaskara y porque las posturas invertidas o sobre la cabeza se hacen a media práctica. Predominan también las asanas de extensión hacia atrás y de apertura del pecho.

Aporta muchos beneficios a nivel físico y también ayuda a controlar los pensamientos y a incrementar la concentración. De hecho, al realizar las posturas se piensa más en el ofrecimiento de la práctica hacia lo absoluto, como una oración en movimiento, por eso se considera uno de los estilos más devocionales. Las asanas de apertura de corazón nos sirven además para desbloquear las emociones y los sentimientos que tenemos más encerrados.
